Safari Blu: Mida Creek and Sudi Island

A day on the water between the reef and the creek: Watamu Marine Park for snorkelling, the mangrove forests of Mida Creek, and Sudi Island.

The programme

Departure and boarding
We leave your hotel, resort or private villa at about 08:30, head down to the shore and board a glass-bottom boat with a wooden roof for shade on the way.
The boat is fully equipped for snorkelling, with masks, fins and life jackets for every guest.
Watamu Marine Park
The first stop is Watamu Marine Park, a protected reserve where you can snorkel among an extraordinary variety of tropical fish and a beautiful coral reef.
Mida Creek
After the marine park we sail on to Mida Creek, a spectacular nature reserve of wide mangrove forests and wooden suspension bridges.
With a little luck you will see a variety of birds on the way, including storks, herons and flamingos.
Sudi Island
From there we carry on to Sudi Island.
