Fishing in Watamu, Malindi and Lamu

Big-game trolling and live bait off Watamu, sailfish off Malindi in November, jigging for GT, and 6 days of popping and jigging out of Lamu. Our own boats, our own crews.

The boats

Watamu

Our Watamu fishing boat and service

Our main fishing boat in Watamu is a 31 ft sport-fishing boat powered by twin engines, designed for comfortable and reliable offshore fishing.

On board

The boat is well equipped with modern navigation and fishing equipment, including:

  • Garmin fishfinder
  • Marine radio
  • More than 8 fishing rods
  • Quality fishing lures and hooks
  • Life jackets and essential safety equipment
  • Professional equipment for trolling and live-bait fishing

You are accompanied by an experienced captain and fishing crew who know the local waters and fishing grounds.

Most importantly, we focus on friendly, customer-oriented service. We want every angler to feel comfortable, well looked after and free to concentrate on enjoying the fishing.

Our goal is simple: good service, a safe trip, and as much time as possible on the water chasing big fish.

Lamu

Our Lamu jigging and popping boat

Our Lamu fishing operation runs a 42 ft Arabian Craft sport-fishing boat, powered by twin 300 HP engines and built for serious offshore fishing.

Boat and equipment

  • 42 ft Arabian Craft
  • Twin 300 HP engines
  • Garmin fishfinder
  • Deep sounder
  • Well suited to GT popping and jigging
  • A qualified, experienced captain and crew
  • A comfortable, stable platform for offshore fishing

The boat is ideal for anglers targeting giant trevally (GT) and other powerful reef and offshore predators around Lamu.

Flexible Lamu fishing

The Lamu fishing programme can also be arranged for groups of fewer than 4 anglers.

Trips can run from 4 days to more than 4 full days of fishing, so you can choose a programme that fits your schedule and your fishing goals.

Whether you are travelling as a small group or looking for a longer fishing adventure, we can put together a flexible Lamu package of popping and jigging, focused on giant trevally (GT) and other powerful reef and offshore predators.

Book early

To secure your preferred fishing dates and the boat, we recommend booking at least 4 months in advance, especially for the peak GT season.

Fishing slots are limited, so early booking is recommended.
