A fascinating tour of Malindi, one of the best-known and most characterful towns on the Kenyan coast.
We visit both the modern town and the old town, also known as Arab Malindi, where you can take in the atmosphere of local life. We walk through the streets of the market, among fabrics, batiks, local crafts and local produce, and see the colours and traditions of the town up close.
The tour carries on to a woodcarving workshop, where you can watch the craftsmen turn wood into fine sculptures and decorative pieces. At the end of the visit you can buy souvenirs and local crafts to take home from your trip to Kenya.
